Johnston Carmichael Wins Top Scottish Industry Award

Scotland’s largest independent chartered accountancy firm, Johnston Carmichael, has won a prestigious industry award.

 

The firm was named the Best Scottish Large Firm of the Year at the inaugural Scottish Accountancy Awards ceremony and dinner, held at the Hilton Hotel, in Glasgow.


Speaking at the awards ceremony in Glasgow, Sandy Manson, Johnston Carmichael’s Chief Executive said “We are really delighted to have won this major award as recognition for the work that our whole team have been doing throughout Scotland. This was the inaugural event for the Scottish Accountancy awards and to have been recognised in this way, given the number of quality firms there, was particularly heartening and quite humbling.”

Sandy Manson added “ It was the first time that the accountancy profession in Scotland has got together in this way and although there is uncertainty in the markets caused by the credit crunch, I strongly believe the Scottish profession is going from strength to strength and will continue to make a really important contribution to the Scottish economy.”
