Celebrating success in challenging times
It's a tough time in the Mergers and Acquisitions market just now with macro economic factors proving a stumbling block to many transactions. However, Johnston Carmichael’s Corporate Finance team is bucking the trend. We have been involved in over two dozen deals which have completed in the first 11 months of the year and our clients have signed 8 deals in the last month with our help including: due diligence on behalf of Baxter’s Food Group for their acquisition of the Fray Bentos brand and assets; iomart plc’s acquisition of EQSN and Reef Subsea’s acquisition of Rotech Subsea.
It is particularly pleasing to see such successful Scottish companies as Baxter’s and iomart expanding and we are delighted to have been a part of that.
These recent deals are on the back of several major disposals we achieved for Scottish client’s earlier this year allowing those companies to expand in partnership with major international businesses. We advised the shareholders of Workload Financial Business Consultants on their sale to Equifax Inc, Beat Systems on their sale to Capita plc and Grampian Crop Services on their sale to Frontier Agriculture Limited.
The market remains challenging, but we firmly believe that with our record of success we are able to help create significant value for our clients and their stakeholders. Whether it is acquisitions or disposal, buyouts or raising funds, we would be delighted to talk to you further about any opportunities where we might be able to help.
