Johnston Carmichael launches search for the Grampian Food and Drink Entrepreneur of the Year
Johnston Carmichael has supported the Grampian Food Forum Awards for a number of years and in 2012 we wanted to introduce a category which reflected our focus on advising entrepreneurial growing businesses." Graeme Fraser, Partner at Johnston Carmichael commented.
Graeme added, "Johnston Carmichael advise a significant number of businesses of varying size and complexity within the food and drink sector. Through working with some of the biggest names and some of the fastest growing smaller businesses in the Scottish food market, we have developed an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the many issues faced by the sector".
The winner of the Johnston Carmichael Grampian Food & Drink Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 will receive a business review with the Johnston Carmichael food and drink team. Valued at up to £1,500 this strategic review of the business, based on their experiences of working with other successful food companies, will consist of a strategic planning workshop, and where appropriate a tax efficient planning meeting, a VAT health-check and a PAYE/NIC Review.
Entrants will be judged on a number of areas; business performance, entrepreneurial focus, strategic planning, innovation and leadership.
The judging panel will be chaired by Adam Hardie, Head of Food and Drink and Graeme Fraser Partner, both of Johnston Carmichael Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, and James Withers CEO of Scotland Food & Drink.
Graeme Fraser of Johnston Carmichael will be available to meet and give an overview of this award and what is required at Grampian Food Forum Marketing Workshop on Thursday 19th January 2012 at Barn and Bushel, Thainstone Centre, Inverurie.
The winner will be announced at the Grampian Food Forum Innovation Awards presentation dinner at the Thainstone Exchange, Thainstone on Thursday 15th March 2012.
